If you have been hoarding points in anticipation of a life-changing discount on a steak dinner, your window of opportunity is rapidly closing. Parent company Whitbread is shuttering its Beefeater and Brewers Fayre loyalty schemes at the end of August as part of a complete shutdown of both restaurant brands.
Here are the exact deadlines to keep your points from vanishing into the corporate void:
- August 24: Deadline to upload receipts or log points into your account.
- August 31: Loyalty schemes (including Beefeater Reward Club, Bonus Club, and Tasty Rewards) officially end. All points must be converted to vouchers and redeemed by this date.
- September 1 (7:00 AM): All remaining unredeemed points will be wiped from the system.
- September 7: Brewers Fayre permanently closes its remaining sites.
- September 10: Beefeater permanently closes its remaining sites.
Whitbread is eliminating all 105 Beefeater and 89 Brewers Fayre locations to focus on expanding its Premier Inn hotel business. The plan involves converting the dining sites into extra hotel rooms and selling off approximately £1.5 billion in freehold property. Up to 3,800 jobs are put at risk by the restructuring.
